I'd like the community to know about an example of what I call great people. Yesterday (Sunday May 24 ), I decided to take a little moped ride and I left
Serendipity in Palacios and turned on FM 521. I went to the TinTop crossroads and went on a nice ride to collegeport. It was a nice ride to the bay and coming
back I got within a mile of 521 and my rear tire went flat. After getting a ride back, a friend of mine and myself drove back with a small air compressor and a
valve stem. Getting the valve stem in was the easy part. The air compressor was not powerful enough to seal the tire. After waiting out a pretty bad storm a
young lady stopped and asked if we needed help. All we hoped was to get some rope to go around the tire to kinda make a tournicate around it. She said her
husband was a mechanic and called him. Next thing we knew he was out there with a trailer and we loaded the bike up on it and he took us back to his home. We
pulled the bike into his shop and with his air compressor and a bump on the tire it was inflated. When I asked how much I owed him, his answer was
"nothing, it was just a little air, besides I figure you'd do the same for me". I nominate Ryan McRae and his wife Vennessa, for Matagorda
Countys Good Samaritan of the year award.
This world would be a much better place with more people like Ryan and Vennessa McRae.
Thank You for you help
