Most individuals who live in Palacios do not have the dispensible income it takes to renovate and update real estate. (That was an accident). The reality is that it is too expensive and not economically viable for a company to begin shop in Palacios. (Especially a service based company). It takes people and money to jump start a community, which ultimately correlates to jobs. There are few individuals willing to take a risk, possibly sacrificing huge amounts of capital...(for improvements)...the return on their investment just isn't adding up at this time. Again~ who is working for Palacios on the Economic Development issues. What industries are they actively recruitting for your area? Is it some part time real estate agents with $$$special interests, or is it an educated, diverse committe with college degrees in Regional and Community Development???
Oh if you guys only knew what you had!!! I can't get the view out of my mind. So much better than 6 inchs of snow and 30 mile per hour winds. I am soooo cold in Kansas.
